Voted the best reference property by the jury: the German Emigration Center in Bremerhaven.
Cause for joy at RECKLI: The German Emigration Center in Bremerhaven received the Architects’ Darling Award as the best reference property at this year’s Celler Werktag. The museum building convinced the jury with a custom-designed facade that shows portraits of emigrants and immigrants. These are staged by randomly arranged, protruding and receding squares. Structural matrices from the RECKLI UNIQUE and VISUALS series were used for the design.
Corinna Uphaus, Head of Marketing at RECKLI, will accept the award: “We are really excited about this award, especially since things have been a little quieter than usual for us in the last few months. And it makes it that much better that we were able to convince the architects with such a great project as the German Emigration Center. From our point of view, the building could not have been more appropriate and up-to-date. Many thanks to the jury for this award.”
The Architects’ Darling is awarded by the construction networker Heinze and awarded annually at the Celler Werktag. This year, the brand awards were evaluated according to three fixed criteria - product quality, value for money and innovation - and according to two variable criteria tailored to the product area. The winners of the jury awards were determined by a high-calibre team of media/communications experts and well-known representatives of international architectural offices.
