On August 15th 1968, Hans-Jürgen Wiemers and Franz Ernst founded the company RECKLI. For five decades, RECKLI has stood for freedom of design in the world of architectural concrete.
An exceptional product and a special company: that’s how one could describe what Hans-Jürgen Wiemers and Franz Ernst created on August 15th 1968 when they registered RECKLI K.G. Wiemers und Co.
For five decades, RECKLI’s exceptionally elastic formliners have been shaping concrete into all conceivable forms and opening up unlimited design opportunities for architects to create façades and exposed concrete surfaces. It all began by chance: when Hans-Jürgen Wiemers saw the perfect imprint of a tire in a fresh section of concrete at one of his construction site visits, he got the idea for the elastic textured formliner - the product that defines RECKLI to this day.
In a garage laboratory, he and Franz Ernst developed the recipe for a casing insert that reproduced detailed patterns in concrete while being easy to remove from the dried concrete and resilient enough to be used over and over again in the construction industry. After countless attempts and practice pours, the pair registered the company RECKLI K.G. Wiemers und Co. in Recklinghausen on August 15th 1968.
For the past five decades, RECKLI has successfully established itself on the international market and is renowned by architects and planners as a reliable partner for extraordinary projects.
RECKLI constantly works on the technical finesse of its formliners, perfect ease of use for the customer and on-trend motifs. RECKLI stands out with its market intuition and its dedication to partners and customers. Having been with the company since 1997 and held the position of Managing Director since 2008, Dr. Bernd Trompeter can look back proudly on the last 50 years, while exuding confidence for the future. ‘We are a modern company that is always developing. The key to our success has been excellent products and exceptional staff.’
The big anniversary will be celebrated mid-September with almost all international partners at an international workshop and party. The first well-wishes came from the IHK Mittleres Ruhrgebiet Chamber of Industry and Commerce, who awarded the company’s executives an honorary certificate at the company’s Herne site.
