With artico® neo, exposed concrete surfaces can be designed effectively indoors and outdoors. RECKLI is offering a new version of plastic foils.
Freedom of design and light-independent shaping of concrete surfaces in interior and exterior areas: artico® neo makes photos, pictures, custom designs and graphics visible in architectural concrete and extends the creative freedom for architects and planners by a substantial component.
To apply artico® neo designs to concrete surfaces, a special plastic foil is printed with a deactivator. It is placed inside the casing during concreting and causes the concrete to set in a deactivated state. After the drying process, the foil can be removed and the treated surface washed out. In doing so, the cementitious material is removed and the underlying rock particles are exposed; the washing out depth is up to 1.5 millimeters. The contrast between the washed out and smooth concrete surface provides a light-dark effect that is clearly visible regardless of the sun light. The height difference generated in the concrete surface makes these haptically tangible.
RECKLI offers artico® neo in 2 series: In the standard series, customers can choose between 16 designs in the size 2.15x25 meters. The designs include images, graphic and typographic elements and can be rasterized. In the custom series, customers can let their imagination run wild and print unique designs on the plastic foils for an additional charge.
Almost every template can be visualized two-dimensionally on the concrete surface with the artico® neo process. Depending on the original, images and photos are rasterized into different pixels on a computer and then applied to the foil. The printing is done using screen printing.
artico® neo foils have no setup costs. They can be used in normal concrete, self-compacting concrete SCC and in ultra-high strength concrete UHCP and guarantee a homogeneous washing out depth. Shipment usually takes two weeks, depending on the project size.
