Each year at the Celler Werktag, the “Oscars of the construction industry” are awarded for the most innovative products and marketing campaigns in the construction industry. RECKLI was able to take three prizes home at the end of the evening.
One gold and two bronzes: RECKLI is very happy about their three Architects’ Darling Awards. At this year’s award ceremony at the Celler Werktag, the top-class panel of judges voted the RECKLI magazine FORMLINER the best in-house magazine focussing on architecture. “Great corporate publishing magazine, with emphasis on its magazine character that really comes across very well. Finally a CP magazine that doesn’t fall short on entertainment value […] Well done, from the stories to the choice of paper,” said one member of the jury. Other jury members praised the dual language approach, the “good bandwidth” and the different color pages that highlight the reports from product content and provide easy navigation. “Very high-class content that’s both broad in topic and detailed in content” and “the layout is contemporary and well thought-out down to the finest detail,” said the experts.
The RECKLI website, which was relaunched in spring with a new layout and design, was also honored and was awarded bronze in the company website category. The judges praised the “high density of information” and the “finished design - a good interplay between content and layout”. The connection to the BLOG as a source of inspiration was also received well by the judges, along with its high user value: “Very nice site - clear, you can find what you want quickly - even BIM data is available.”
The RECKLI company Facebook page was also awarded bronze. The experts loved the mix of references and company news as well as the architectural examples shown on the page. “Simply a well executed, professional Facebook page with well-written, flowing texts that fit the media well without pandering to it.”
The panel of judges was made up of 19 architecture experts, chaired by Dr Thomas Welter, the head of the Federation of German Architects. The members selected the most successful products in seven marketing disciplines. The jury also included Axel Bienhaus, managing shareholder of Albert Speer & Partner, Professor Wilbert Riehl from the University of Kassel, Christian Maeder, board member at Nickl & Partner Architekten and media experts such as Daniele Kupetz, managing director of the Brand Architecture Institute and Hans Schneider, managing shareholder of diemedia.
The Architects’ Darling Awards were initiated by Heinze and have been presented each year at the Celler Werktag since 2011. The most innovative products in 24 categories are established based on the nation’s largest survey of architects. A panel of judges also assesses the most successful projects in seven marketing disciplines.
The second issue of the RECKLI magazine FORMLINER was released in 2016. FORMLINER reports on case studies of architectural highlights such as the acoustically exceptional concert hall in Kattowitz and the artistic façade in Melbourne, and tackles topics such as digital construction and town planning in Berlin, as well as discussing innovations in concrete construction and new RECKLI developments.
