Partner Spotlight: Geithner Bau x RECKLI

Creating Extraordinary Things Together

As a manufacturer of elastic Formliners, RECKLI works closely with precast concrete factories. One of our partners is Geithner Bau. With more than 125 years of experience and a team of over 100 employees at three locations, Geithner Bau brings its leading expertise in the production of architectural concrete precast elements. The collaboration is guided by our motto "Creating Extraordinary Things" – together, we redefine the boundaries of design and realize projects that fully exploit the diverse possibilities of concrete as a building material. The synergy between Geithner Bau’s expertise in various construction methods – including acid-washed, sandblasted, structured, and smooth exposed concrete – and RECKLI’s specialization in elastic Formliners for enhancing concrete surfaces enables us to bring unique architectural designs to life. Our goal is to always present the vision of planners and architects in the best possible way.

The Foundation for Outstanding Projects

How we achieve this is demonstrated by the numerous projects we have successfully completed together in recent years. One example is the new residential ensemble Schönegarten in Berlin, which harmoniously integrates into the cityscape with its architecturally diverse façade design. The Formliners 2/26 Elbe and 2/90 Travertin from the RECKLI SELECT series were used for this project. Another example is the Integrated Secondary School on Wartiner Straße in Berlin. For the surrounding base of the school buildings, we used our Formliner 1/316 B Pennsilva. The ribbed pattern with a rough fracture structure creates a beautiful contrast to the smooth upper part of the façade. At the same time, the precast concrete elements are in a sandy color, making the façade appear friendlier, brighter, and less brutalist. Other examples include the Mining Museum in Oelsnitz, which was realized with photo engraving and the Triotop in Cologne (2/107 B Mekong)

Geithner Bau’s Managing Director Dipl.-Ing. Michael Bloch on the Collaboration with RECKLI

"The close collaboration with RECKLI allows us to constantly explore the boundaries of concrete as a building material. With their expertise in elastic Formliners and our experience in the production of high-quality architectural concrete elements, we create extraordinary projects together. What is particularly impressive are the possibilities to shape concrete individually – as seen at the depot building of the Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation, where we worked with project-specific Formliners. Such projects demonstrate how important a collaborative partnership is to turn our clients' innovative visions into reality. We look forward to many more shared challenges!"

We, too, are pleased to have Geithner Bau as a partner by our side, one who shares our passion for architectural concrete and is committed to nothing less than achieving the optimal result for planners and architects.
